Candle Care and Safety
CANDLE SAFETY INFORMATION
BEFORE
- Always trim wick to 1/4 inch each time candle is lit.
- Avoid drafts.
- Set on a level, fire resistant surface.
- Keep debris out of the wax pool.
- Burn within sight.
- Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep away from flammable objects
- Keep away from children and pets.
- Stop burning when 1/2 inch remains in the container.
- Always allow wax to harden before relighting, touching and moving.
- Don't extinguish with water.
- Reuse of the glass container and lid is highly encouraged.
- To get rid of unused wax, place in the fridge or freezer for no longer than 10-15 mins
- Remove from the fridge or freezer and break wax till it comes off from the glass.
- Wash glass with warm soapy water. Residual soy wax will melt easily with warm water.
HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT CANDLE ISSUES
BIG FLAME, SMOKE AND SOOT
- Extinguish flame.
- Trim wick 1/4 inch.
- Relight the candle after 15 to 30 minutes.
GLASS CONTAINER IS HOT
- Extinguish flame and let wax cool down.
- Trim wick to 1/4 inch.
- Relight the candle after 1-2 hours if needed.
- For safety, burn for no longer than 4 hours at a time.
- Extinguish flame.
- Remove appropriately 5 ml of melted wax and store in a plastic container.
- relight the candle.
- Remove stored wax from the plastic container, break and add the stored wax back into the candle when the flame is doing better.
